North-West Frontier Incident

This was a significant Tabula victory in their modern war against the Harlequins. Using bribed Pakistani journalists and fake websites, Nathan Boone, convinced Thorn, that two Pakistani children – a twelve-year-old boy and his ten-year-old sister – were important Travelers that were in danger from an Islamic mullah. Thorn organized an ambitious rescue mission to Pakistan's tribal area in the mountains outside of Peshawar. The Harlequins Thorn, Linden, Willow and Libra traveled in a convoy with local bodyguards. They were ambushed at a mountain pass by Tabula mercenaries led by Boone. Willow and Libra were captured and tortured to death. Thorn was seriously wounded. He survived because Linden carried him to safety. Two months later, Walter Benson wrote a Readers Digest article about the incident: "Final Justice: The Destruction of a Terrorist Cult."
